	This sculpture, along with "Bringin' Em Home", introduces Roy's first use of a technique he developed for lifelike sagebrush. Side View
	The contentment theme depicted in this sculpture is reflected by the steer's wrapped tail, characteristic of a contented animal. Note the braided rawhide bosal Hackamore and McCarty twisted hair rope. This is sometimes used with a young or recently trained horse. This single reign serves as a safety line in the unlikely event that the rider is thrown, preventing the horse from running away and stranding the cowboy far from home. Back View

	Roy reflected that this is a cowboy's cowboy. He sits the horse perfectly. It is unlikely that this figure could be mistaken for a fisherman or tennis player. Cowboy/Horse Detail

*SHS: This sculpture is part of the premium "Saddle Horn Series" named for Roy's registered "Saddle Horn" brand. This sculpture has benefitted from Roy's special attention throughout the development process. During the sculpting phase, Roy took whatever time was necessary to insure that the sculpture truly reflected what he saw in his mind's eye. Then, before submitting it for the bronze casting, Roy personally 'chased' each wax to insure that every edition is true to his original sculpture. The final result is a premium Roy Harris sculpture.
